He had won 4 gold medals when Los Angeles had last hosted the games in 1984. Lewis won gold in men’s 100m, 200m, long jump and 4x100m relay.

Katie Ledecky is one of the active athletes who is on the volunteer board of directors for the LA Olympics 2028. Ledecky has won 14 medals including nine gold at the Olympics. She will be eager to compete at home for the first time.
