After 17 days of intense action, the Paris Olympics 2024 has finally come to a glorious end. There was cause for celebration for Malaysian fans as their badminton medal streak continued at Paris. The Malaysian contingent at Paris consisted of 26 athletes who will return home with two bronze medals.

Both the medals for Malaysia at Paris came through badminton. Lee Zii Jia staged a brilliant comeback against Lakshya Sen to win the bronze medal in men’s singles. In men’s doubles, the pair of Soh Wooi Yik and Aaron Chia won bronze in a close encounter against Denmark. The pair was two points away from losing the medal in the second game.

Now the Malaysian contingent will be preparing for the closing ceremony which is set to start soon. The fans in Malaysia will be eager to watch their athletes in the parade as they officially depart from Paris.
