A total of 117 athletes will be representing India at Paris Olympics 2024.

The Paris Olympics 2024 will mark the return of the Olympics to its standard cycle unlike the previous edition of the Tokyo Olympics which was postponed from 2020 to 2021 due to the pandemic.

With the pandemic and precautions all over, Paris is set to host the quadrennial for the third time. The capital city of France will become only the second city after London to host the Olympics three times.

This year marks the centenary celebration of the previous Olympics hosted by the city in 1924. For India, it is equally special as well and 2024 has yielded positive results in the field of sports.

Indian cricket team won the World Cup after 13 years. Rohan Bopanna became the oldest men’s Grand Slam winner when he lifted the trophy Down Under in doubles.

The wonder duo of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy became the first Indian pair to hold the top spot of the World Badminton Rankings for 10 consecutive weeks. They are one of the major medal contenders at Paris Olympics 2024.

The list goes in multiple disciplines and the athletes now have started their journey for Paris Olympics 2024 to achieve the biggest honour in the grandest multi-national sporting event of them all.

A total of 117 athletes comprising 70 men and 47 women across 16 sports disciplines will be aiming to win medals for the nation at the Paris Olympics 2024.

The Tokyo Olympics saw India finish with seven medals, including 1 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze medals. With expectations skyrocketing, India would like to finish with double-digits in the medals tally for the first time.

There are many favourites to do so and here’s the final list of Indian contingent who will be carrying the tricolour at the Paris Olympics 2024.
