With the Paris Olympics 2024 quickly approaching, the field for the men’s golf competition has been finalized. The top golfers from around the world have secured their spots to compete at the prestigious event, set to take place at the iconic Le Golf National from August 1-4.
The qualification process was determined by the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR), with the top 15 players automatically earning a spot. Beyond the top 15, the Olympic Golf Rankings (OGR) were used to select up to two additional eligible players per country, as long as that country did not already have at least two players in the top 15.

Leading the charge is world number one Scottie Scheffler of the United States, who has been in scintillating form this season. Ireland’s Rory McIlroy, currently ranked second in the world, will be making his Olympic debut in Paris, alongside compatriot Shane Lowry. Sweden’s Ludvig Åberg and Alex Noren will represent the Scandinavian nation, while Norway’s Viktor Hovland and Kris Ventura will also be competing.
