Six swimmers won five medals each at Paris Olympics 2024.

Swimming was one of the events where the athletes excelled the most at Paris Olympics 2024. The event saw many athletes winning multiple medals for their respective nations. While USA and Australia dominated the pool, China too had its share of podium finishes in the sport.

China’s Zhang Yufei ended the Paris Olympics 2024 as the athlete with the most medals. She won six medals consisting of one silver and five bronze. Yufei competed in six events and reached the podium in all of them.

Zhang Yufei was competing at the Olympics for the third time and has now won 10 medals so far. The 26-year-old swimmer had made her Olympic debut in 2016 at Rio. She only competed in the 200m butterfly event, finishing sixth. Five years later at the Tokyo Olympics, Yufei won two gold medals and two silver. She maintained her winning momentum at Paris.

The swimming prodigy made her way into the women’s 100m butterfly event and won her second consecutive bronze medal at Paris. Her next event was the 200m butterfly, where Yufei was the defending champion, but this time she finished third with a timing of 2:05.09 seconds. Her Tokyo Games Olympic record was broken by Summer McIntosh.
