Paris Paralympics 2024: Updated India schedule for Day 1, August 29
India has a chance to win two medals on day 1.
The long-awaited Paris Paralympics 2024 are set to begin, with India’s para-athletes ready to showcase their talents across multiple sports. The nation’s campaign will launch on August 29, featuring competitions in para badminton, para taekwondo, para cycling, and para archery.
Day 1 holds promise for India’s medal aspirations, with two events offering podium potential. In para cycling, Jyothi Gaderiya will compete in the Women’s C2 3000m Individual Pursuit. Meanwhile, Aruna Tanwar will represent India in para taekwondo, battling it out in the women’s 47kg category. Indian para archers are poised to make their mark in the ranking round, aiming for strong initial performances.
