China topped the final medal with staggering 220 medals.

The Paris Paralympics 2024 wrapped up after several days of intense competition, marked by extraordinary performances and enthusiastic crowds.

There were some eventful performances from the para athletes with many athletes taking home last medals left.

Tunisia’s Wajdi Boukhili emerged victorious in the Men’s Marathon T12, while Switzerland’s Marcel Hug added another marathon gold in the T54 category.

On the women’s side, Morocco’s Fatima El Idrissi shattered records in the T12 marathon, and Switzerland’s Catherine Debrunner took the top spot in the T54 marathon.

In Para-Canoe, Brazil’s Fernando Rufino won gold in the Men’s Va’a Single VL2, with Ukraine’s Vladislav Yepifanov claiming victory in the VL3 event.

Chile’s Katherinne Wollermann earned gold in the Women’s Kayak Single KL1, while Charlotte Henshaw from Great Britain took the KL2 title.

The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games wrapped up on Sunday, leaving fans and athletes alike in awe of the incredible achievements witnessed over the past two weeks. China once again proved unstoppable, topping the medal table with a staggering 220 medals, including 94 golds.

Great Britain secured second place with 124 medals (49 gold), while the United States rounded out the top three with 105 medals (36 gold). The Netherlands surprised many by claiming fourth place with 56 medals, an impressive 27 of them gold.

Host nation France finished eighth, celebrating 75 medals (19 gold), with standout performances in Para cycling road and Para swimming. Mathieu Bosredon emerged as a national hero, clinching three gold medals in cycling events.

India had its most successful Paralympics ever, finishing 18th with 29 medals (7 gold, 9 silver, 13 bronze). .

The Games were not just about medals, though. Paris 2024 raised the bar for disability sport.
