Full list of India contingent for Paris Paralympics 2024
Athletics has the most number of athlete for India at Paris Paralympics 2024.
India is set to make history at the Paris Paralympics 2024, sending its largest contingent of 84 athletes, including 32 women, to compete from August 28 to September 8. This marks an increase from the 54-member team at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, where India secured an impressive 19 medals, including five gold.
The country’s Paralympic journey began in 1968, with its first medal—a gold in swimming—coming in 1972. After a brief absence, India has participated in every Summer Paralympics since 1984, steadily improving its performance.
The 2020 Tokyo Games saw India achieve its best-ever finish, ranking 24th overall. With the expanded team for Paris, hopes are high for an even stronger showing
