MUL Season 5: Mumbai Ultimate League Frisbee competition returns for fifth edition

The tournament will feature top Ultimate Frisbee players from Mumbai, Surat, Pune, and Ahmedabad, drafted into six competitive teams.
Off-Season Ultimate (OSU) has announced the return of the Mumbai Ultimate League (MUL) Season 5, bringing the fastest-growing mixed-gender sport action, Ultimate Frisbee, to Mumbai’s sporting calendar. Scheduled to run on weekends from April 13th to May 4th, at Wings Arena, Bandra, MUL Season 5 will continue to push boundaries, bringing together top talent from the country for dynamic gameplay in an electrifying atmosphere.
Season 5 of the Mumbai Ultimate League will take place over weekends from April 13th to May 4th, with matches scheduled for April 13th, 19th, 20th, 26th, 27th, and May 4th. All the matches will be live-streamed on OSU’s YouTube channel, @offseasonultimate.
This tournament will feature top Ultimate Frisbee players from Mumbai, Surat, Pune, and Ahmedabad, drafted into six competitive teams. Defending champions, Dancing Dragons, will seek to retain their title, while Reborn Fire, Bumbai Bantais, The Afterburners, and the newly formed Bombay Rhinos and Desi Hawks will compete for the championship.
With 127 players in action, including a record 45 women athletes, the Mumbai Ultimate League continues to stand as one of the sport’s most popular events.
“We are incredibly excited to kick off another season of the Mumbai Ultimate League and continue our mission of growing the sport in India,” said Rishabh Kishore, Co-Founder, Off-Season Ultimate. “This league serves as more than just a platform for players to showcase their talents; it’s a celebration of the passion and spirit of Ultimate Frisbee. By bringing together players from across the country, we’re not only elevating the game but also creating a vibrant and supportive community.
“We’re proud to see the sport gaining momentum, and we hope this season inspires even more people to get involved, whether as players, fans, or supporters, and continue to build a lasting Ultimate Frisbee culture in India, Rishabh added.
Player Auctions for the season was conducted on March 14 with 102 players sold to the six teams. A total of 9 players were retained by the teams and another 9 were drafted into the squad before the auctions through the “Snake Draft” process. The team owners are also playing members of their respective squads adding another unique aspect to this league.
