Adding Eduardo Ferreira to FC Pune City's defence comes as a much-needed shot in the arm for the Stallions. Ferreira has played for a host of clubs in Brazil, Colombia, South Africa, Thailand and most recently Iran. A solid no-nonsense centre-back, Ferreira also has an eye for goal and is known to get himself on the scoresheet on a regular basis from corners and set-pieces. Born in Brazil, Ferreira was naturalised in 2013 and made his international bow for Equatorial Guinea on 16 November 2013 against Spain as an 81st-minute substitute. He comes with experience of Asian football courtesy of his time in Thailand and Iran. Ferreira has also won the Iran Pro League last season with Esteghlal Khuzestan.
