Alfaro began his professional career with the Uruguayan national premier division club, Liverpool FC in 2006. He was the club's top scorer for consecutive seasons in 2008/09 and 2009/10. The Uruguayan made his debut for the national team in a friendly against Italy in 2011 and attracted the attention of Italian giants Lazio. After playing in Italy and UAE, he returned to Liverpool and helped them win the Segunda Division 2014/15 title. His 21 goals, won him the title of the top scorer of the league. He gelled well with his South American compatriots Velez and Aneff in NEUFC's campaign last year and was their top scorer with five goals. He will look to be at his best once more for Pune come the new season.
