27-year-old Yusa Katsumi made his professional debut for Japanese side Sanfrecce Hiroshima in 2007. After two seasons with Hiroshima, Katsumi moved to Zweigen Kanazawa in 2009. He also had brief spells with Japan's FC Gifu and Paraguay's San Lorenzo before getting his first taste of Indian football with ONGC in 2011. After several impressive displays with ONGC in the I-League, Katsumi moved to Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan in 2013. Katsumi soon established himself as one the mainstays for the Mariners following his move from ONGC and was subsequently handed the captaincy. His three seasons with Mohun Bagan have yielded a return of 27 goals as well as the 2014-15 Hero I-League and the 2015-16 Federation Cup. His vast experience of playing in Indian conditions is set to be a major boost for NorthEast United.
