After being chosen to be a part of I-League club DSK Shivajians' Liverpool International Football Academy in 2014, there has been no looking back for Lallianzuala Chhangte. He finished the 2014-15 I-League U-19 season as the league's top-scorer and soon flew to England along with NorthEast United FC teammate Jerry Mawihmingthanga to train at Liverpool FC's youth academy at Kirkby. Still just 18, Chhangte has already been capped at international level. Called up for the 2015 SAFF Cup, he came on as a 77th-minute substitute to replace Robin Singh on December 25. Two days later he scored a brace in a 4-1 win over Nepal.
The 20-year-old Mizo lad has already made a name for himself in Indian football. Making just one appearance as a substitute for NorthEast United FC in Hero ISL 2016, he took a grand leap in 2017-18 becoming the only player to play all 18 of Delhi’s matches. Scoring three goals, he was the joint second highest scorer for Delhi and will look to continue his form from last season for the Dynamos.
