The hard-hitting midfielder kick-started his career in his hometown of Brazil with Fluminense. He was loaned out to as many as seven clubs in his professional career which also included Chennaiyin FC in Hero ISL 2015. Before his success in the Hero ISL, he had won the Polish league with Legia Warsaw. His debut for Chennaiyin came in 2015 and he was a part of the rich foreign midfield that they had with the likes of Elano, Bruno Pelissari and Manuele Blasi. He was shifted into a more creative role for Hero ISL 2016 and ended the season with four assists to his name, most by any Chennaiyin FC player that season. Despite the arrival of set-piece expert Rene Mihelic for Hero ISL 2017-18, he was a pivot in the midfield for Chennaiyin. He ended last season with three goals to his name, the most he’s managed in any Hero ISL campaign so far.
