Having made his debut for I-League outfit Sporting Clube de Goa in 2011, 24-year-old Rowllin Borges has gone on to establish himself as one of the midfield linchpins for the Goan club. A smart reader of the game in his defensive midfield role, Borges offers an abundance of energy in midfield with his all-action style of play. More than capable in the attacking-third, Borges also possesses the ability to score a goal or two and can be considered a threat in opposition penalty areas during set-pieces. Capped by India at international level, Borges scored his first goal for the Blues in the 2015 SAFF Cup against Nepal. Borges was a regular for the Highlanders last season, and will play a key role in their campaign for the upcoming one.
