Goalkeepers often have a long shelf life and the 41-year-old gloveman from West Bengal best exemplifies this maxim. Sandip Nandy's debut in big time football with Mohun Bagan in 1999 was a winning one with the Boatmen winning the NFL. The much-decorated goalkeeper was then part of Subhas Bhowmick's all-conquering East Bengal squad and added two more NFL titles to his cabinet besides the prestigious ASEAN Club Championship in 2003, where he was adjudged best goalkeeper. His scintillating form in 2012-13 earned him a recall to the national team at age 38 after a gap of seven years. He played his third season with Kerala Blasters FC at the age of 41 last year, and has been with the men in yellow since Hero ISL 2014.
