The homegrown promotion debuted last year in Mumbai.

Wrestling Xtreme Mania, or WXM pro-wrestling is a homegrown Indian professional wrestling brand created to bring story‑driven sports entertainment to India, and nurture Indian wrestling talents, as well as attract global superstars.

The promotion debuted with the inaugural event “GROUND ZERO: POWERBOMB” on May 2, 2025, at the NSCI Dome in Mumbai. The promotion has signed multiple national and international names, including Raj “The Maharaja” Singh (aka Jinder Mahal), Samurai De Sol, and Axel, among others.

Who leads the charge for Wrestling Xtreme Mania?

Rishi is the CEO & Co-Founder of the promotion, who is described as a “Wrestling fanatic turned entrepreneur, Rishi leads with a fan-first philosophy combining strategic thinking with passion.”

On the other hand, Satendar Rana serves as the COO of the company. He is best known for his time in WWE, where he performed in their developmental brand NXT under the ring name Jeet Rama.

Weekly shows of Wrestling Xtreme Mania

Ground Zero is WXM’s weekly wrestling show, which is released every Saturday at 6 PM on their YouTube channel. Similar to the format, it features ongoing storylines, matches involving both Indian talent and international wrestlers, and serves as the platform for building rivalries and championship contention.

WXM also operates its own Performance Centre in Gurugram, Haryana, which hosts live events. In addition to training talent, the promotion organizes live shows to engage fans directly and features a roster that includes several names familiar to WWE audiences in India.

Apart from WWE’s weekly shows, the Indian audience was also exposed to the pro-wrestling scene in a large part due to the Ring Ka King television series that was originally broadcast from January 2012 to April 2012 by Endemol India on Colors TV.

The show included several TNA talents, familiar to Indian audiences since TNA Wrestling has been broadcast in India since 2005. Pro-wrestling legend Jeff Jarrett was one of the producers for the show.

WXM is now a breath of fresh air for fans in India, who not only enjoy the live shows but also play an active role in the growth of the country’s professional wrestling scene.

Although still in its early stages, the promotion aims to cultivate a homegrown pro-wrestling scene in a country with one of the largest wrestling fanbases in the world. WWE has even openly expressed interest in returning to India for future events, and a collaboration with the WWE would only help WXM grow.
