Hangzhou Asian Games 2023: Ramita Jindal shoots her way to two medals

Ramita Jindal won individual Bronze, while silver medal in women's team event.
Ramita Jindal logged India’s first individual medal with a bang in the Asian Games 2023 being played in Hangzhou. Touted as one of the most promising shooters in India, the Gun for Glory (GFG) athlete fired her way to a Bronze medal in the individual 10M air rifle women’s event while her GFG stablemate and Olympic hopeful Mehuli Ghosh finished fourth. Also, the duo along with Ashi Chouksey brought home the team silver medal.
“I feel like being on top of the world. It is like a dream come true. The medals belong to everyone who believed in me and supported me,” said the 19-year-old Ramita Jindal from China. “I dedicate these medals to my parents who have supported me through the thick and thin of my shooting journey thus far,” said the Hansraj College student Ramita Jindal.

Ramita Jindal’s performance at the 2023 Asian Games was nothing short of a remarkable feat. With unparalleled precision and unwavering focus, she showcased her extraordinary talents throughout the competition, ultimately securing the Bronze medal behind Chinese athletes Han Jiayu and Huang Yuting who secured Gold and Silver respectively.
Namita JIndal's achievement is a testament to her relentless commitment to excellence and the world-class training she receives at Gun for Glory Shooting Academy which was founded by London Olympic medalist Gagan Narang - who is an Asian Games medalist in his own right and Shri Pawan Singh, Hon Secretary General, National Rifle Association of India.
Mehuli who secured the 4th position while helping India secure a silver medal and has quickly established herself as a rising star in the world of shooting and is on the verge of grabbing a berth in the Paris Olympics 2024 berth.
