They beat Brazilian team in very close contest to secure Bronze medal.
Indian trio of Manavaditya Rathore, Kynan Chenai and Shapath Bharadwaj outgunned the Brazilian team in a closely contested bronze medal match at the ISSF World Cup in Lima, Peru.
At one point both the teams were level at 5-5, after five rounds, but the Indians held their nerve to win the bronze after a shoot-off with a score of 1-0.
The Indian team had finished fourth in the qualification with a total score of 205.
Just like the bronze, the gold was also decided by a shoot-off which was won by USA beating Spain 7-6.
None of the three Indians could however make it to the semifinal stage in the individual event of ISSF World Cup. Manavaditya (115), who is the son of 2004 Athens Olympic silver medallist Rajyavardhan Rathore, was the highest placed Indian at 18th, followed by Kynan (115) at 23rd while Shapath (111) finished 32nd in a field of 62 shooters.
