Manu Bhaker will be competing in her third and final event of Paris Olympics 2024.
The Paris Olympics 2024 day 7 will feature India’s brightest medal prospects in shooting. Manu Bhaker, who has already won two medals at Paris, will be competing in her final event. She has shown her caliber in 10m air pistol events.
Now the 22-year-old will be hoping to do the same in the 25m Pistol women’s qualification. Manu Bhaker and Esha Singh will be in action amongst the Indian athletes in the event. While Esha will be bracing the Olympic platform for the first time, she will be beside a two-time Olympic medallist.
Manu Bhaker could become the first Indian to win three medals in a single edition of the Olympics. Her performance so far at Paris Olympics 2024 has been nothing short of sensational. She is expected to do the same tomorrow.

The world record in qualification for the 25m pistol event is held by Rhythm Sangwan, who scored 595 last year during the ISSF World Cup in Baku. But this time, it will be Bhaker and Esha who will be leading force in the 25m pistol event. Esha Singh has been the junior world champion in the event and also won the silver medal at the Asian games last year.
They will face tough competition from the world record holder in the finals of the 25m pistol event. Kim Yeji had set the record for finals at Baku three months ago. Former world record holder, Veronika Major will also be looking to top the qualification round.

Manu Bhaker had finished 15th in the event with a score of 582 during the 2020 Tokyo games. She has come a long way since then. She equalled Yeji’s world record during the fourth Olympics trials conducted in May at Bhopal and overall scored 586. She had scored 47 in April which was above the world record and now will look to repeat the feat.
Bhaker will also seek to inspire Esha during the qualification rounds at Paris. Esha is one of the youngest athletes in the Indian contingent, the 19-year-old is making her debut at the summer games. With over 60 shots, Bhaker will need to set the bar high in the first 30 shots in precision. The top eight athletes from the qualification round will enter the final which is scheduled on August 3 at 1 PM IST.
