Last year's champion Carlos Alcaraz will look to defend his title.

The ATP 500 Barcelona Open is scheduled to start as some major top players such as clay court favourite Rafael Nadal and Daniel Medvedev have opted out of participation, in the tennis event starting from 17th April in Barcelona. However, the defending champion Carlos Alcaraz will be seen live in action and will try to defend his title of being the heavy favourite to retain it.

Some of the other top seeds including Kasper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitispas, Cameron Norrie, etc will also be seen in action, as major challengers to the defending champion.
