Prediction
Kostyuk has had a remarkable run in Melbourne, beating three seeded players in straight sets to reach her first Grand Slam quarterfinal. She has also won seven of her nine matches so far, all without dropping a set. However, she will face a tough challenge from Gauff, who is unbeaten in 2024 and has won all nine matches she has contested. Gauff has also dominated her opponents with ease, winning by straight sets eight times out of nine. She has not faced any break points in her last two matches.
Gauff has an advantage over Kostyuk in terms of experience, athleticism, and serve. She has played in many Grand Slam tournaments before, winning the US Open final last year.
She has a powerful serve that can hit winners from any angle, as well as a strong forehand that can create angles for her backhand. She also has great movement and stamina on the court, which allows her to cover more ground and chase down balls. Kostyuk will have to rely on her aggressive play and confidence to challenge Gauff’s serve.
Coco Gauff has been playing very well lately and seems to be on another level than most of her opponents. She will be able to control the pace of the game with her serve and dictate where she wants to play from behind.
Result– Coco Gauff to win in straight sets.
