Adelaide International 2025: All you need to know about prize money

The tournament serves as an important warm-up event to the Australian Open.
The Adelaide International 2025, a combined WTA 500/ATP 250 event, is the last warm-up event to be held in Australia before the Australian Open main draw gets underway on January 12th.
The event will be without the men’s defending champion Jiri Lehecka. The Czech player downed Jack Draper in the finals at Adelaide last season and is fresh off claiming the Brisbane International trophy on Sunday. Latvian Jelena Ostapenko will be hoping for better luck in Adelaide after being eliminated in the opening round at Brisbane by Marie Bouzkova.

Among the men, Tomas Machac, the third seed, is also missing in action in Adelaide. Compatriots Tommy Paul and Sebastian are the top two seeds in the ATP draw, followed by Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime. Paul and Korda were among the winner’s circle last season, winning three and one ATP-level titles, respectively and will be keen to have a title to their name before the Australian Open begins.
Paul picked up two ATP 500 titles in 2024 – the Queen’s Championship and the Dallas Open. Korda clinched the ATP 500 title in Washington for the biggest win of his career in the 2024 season.
Coming to the women’s draw, Ostapenko is the eighth seed. The WTA event again has two Americans, Jessica Pegula and Emma Navarro, leading the list of seeded players. Ostapenko, currently the WTA No. 17 will have to contend with Pegula and Navarro as she looks to retain her title for another season. In 2024, Pegula claimed her first WTA 1000 title in Toronto, while Navarro claimed her maiden WTA title in Hobart.

Being part of the ATP 250 calendar, the men’s draw has a prize pool of $680,140. The women’s draw boasts of a larger purse of $1,064,510 as it is a WTA 500 event.
