Aryna Sabalenka won her first title on the tour since the 2024 Australian Open.
Aryna Sabalenka’s boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, recently took to social media and congratulated the Belarusian tennis star for her triumph at the 2024 Cincinnati Open.
The 26-year-old defeated America’s Jessica Pegula in straight sets to win the 2024 Cincinnati Open on Monday. It was Sabalenka’s second title of the season, before that, she won the Australian Open in January.
During the post-match interview, Sabalenka addressed her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, who was watching her from the stands. She said, “Thank you to my boyfriends… that’s my terrible English guys.”
Later, her boyfriend shared a picture with the two-time Australian Open, where he wrote, “Much much deserved. (Somehow you look even prettier with that trophy smile).”

The Belarusian tennis star recorded crucial victories over the likes of Iga Swiatek, Elina Svitolina, and Jessica Pegula. Additionally, she has gained momentum ahead of the US Open. Last year’s runner-up, Sabalenka, will be seeded second in this year’s US Open.
After the win, she took to social media and uploaded a couple of pictures with the Cincinnati Open trophy. In the pictures, she can be seen posing alongside the Cincinnati accolade.
She also lauded Jessica Pegula in the speech and stated that she’s happy after winning a title. Sabalenka said, “Speeches are definitely not my superpower but I’ll try my best. Thank you for a great match Jessica. I’m very happy to see you back at your top level. You did such a great job the last few weeks.
She further added, “A title and a final. That’s really an achievement. I want to congratulate you and your team on the incredible work you’ve done. As you said, I’m sure we’re gonna have many more battles in the future. Let’s just keep it up, right?”
