Jannik Sinner has won five ATP titles this year, including the Australian Open.
Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner defeated Frances Tiafoe of America in straight sets to win the 2024 Cincinnati Open on Monday.
Jannik Sinner missed Paris Olympics 2024 due to tonsillitis, and later, he lost to Andrey Rublev in the quarterfinals of the Canadian Open. However, Sinner overcame the likes of Andrey Rublev, Alexander Zverev, and Frances Tiafoe to win the 2024 Cincinnati Open.
The Italian celebrated his 23rd birthday on August 16, last week. Thus, talking about his birthday, he revealed that he doesn’t like celebrating birthdays. However, his 23rd birthday was special. He said, “It’s a special week for me here.. it’s my birthday week. I usually don’t like birthdays. But this one was feels very special.”
He further added, “It was a very difficult week, tough week. I’m very happy about today’s match. It was very tough mentally. Had such an amazing run here, and I tried to do my best today. We both were quite tired from yesterday. We both felt a lot of tension, but I’m very glad about [the] level I played today, especially in the important moments.”
