Jasmine Paolini has played in two singles Grand Slam finals in 2024.
Jasmine Paolini defeated Anastasia Potapova in her opening match at Cincinnati Open 2024. After the win, she revealed that her Olympic gold medal was with her parents.
Paolini teamed up with Sara Errani to win the women’s doubles gold at the Paris Olympics 2024. They defeated the Russian duo of Mirra Andreeva and Diana Shnaider, who were playing as neutral athletes in the gold medal match. However, she was knocked out from the third round in the singles event after defeat against Anna Karolína Schmiedlová of Slovakia.
After she started her campaign in Cincinnati with a win over Anastasia Potapova, Paolini was asked about her Olympic gold medal. The two-time singles Grand Slam runner-up was asked if she was carrying her Olympic gold medal with her.
Replying to the question, Jasmine Paolini said that she enjoyed a special week at Paris Olympics. However, her Olympic gold medal is with her parents, and they are taking care of it.
The 2024 Wimbledon Championships runner-up added, “No, it’s not with me. But it was a fantastic week. To be an Olympic champion is so special. It’s with my parents, I have to say. They’re taking care of it”

Paolini is currently enjoying a breakthrough year. She started her season with a fourth-round finish at the Australian Open. At the Dubai Tennis Championships, she outclassed Anna Kalinskaya to win her maiden WTA 1000 singles second title. With the win, she moved into the top 15 of the rankings on 26 February.
She also won the women’s doubles title at the 2024 Italian Open alongside Sara Errani. At the French Open, Paolini reached the final of the women’s singles and doubles events. She lost in both finals; however, she recorded commendable victories over Mirra Andreeva and Elena Rybakina on her route to the summit clash.
At Wimbledon 2024, she recorded wins over Emma Navarro and Olympic silver medalist Donna Vekic. Paolini became the first woman to reach both the French Open and Wimbledon finals in the same season since Serena Williams in 2016.
Additionally, she later became the new WTA World No. #5, superseding Jessica Pegula and Marketa Vondrousova. Consequently, she would aim to give a similar performance at the 2024 US Open. She has played only two singles matches at Flushing Meadows, losing both.
