Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Carolina Garcia, and more have congratulated Iga Swiatek for her win.

Iga Swiatek recently took pictures to social media and uploaded them with the esteemed French Open trophy.

The Polish tennis star defeated Italy’s Jasmine Paolini 6-2, 6-1 in the final of the 2024 French Open to win her fourth overall and third consecutive Roland Garros title. With the triumph, Swiatek became the first player born after 1990 to win 5 Major titles.

She’s also the youngest active player with five or more Grand Slam titles. In addition to that, she also became the first female tennis player, after Serena Williams, in ten years to win the same Grand Slam title in three consecutive years. Williams reached the milestone at the US Open between 2012 and 2014.

After the win, Swiatek took to Instagram and uploaded a couple of pictures, where she revealed that she was happy with her triumph and that her hard work and discipline paid off.

She wrote, “It doesn’t get more challenging than this. To stay disciplined for so many weeks, to focus on the right things, be here and now. But at the same time to enjoy life, be happy, content. I’m so proud and grateful for my team, family, and all the support – you have no idea. But yeah…I want to say it out loud. This was something else. Merci Paris. Je T’aime.”

The likes of Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Carolina Garcia, and several other tennis stars also congratulated the young Pole for her fifth Grand Slam title.

Iga Swiatek is the only Polish tennis player to win multiple Grand Slam titles and would be looking forward to winning a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Before that, the WTA World No. 1 would play at the Wimbledon Championships.

Swiatek’s trophy cabinet still lacks a grass court Major, which she can win this year, thanks to her astounding form.
