Quarterfinals: Alexander Zverev vs Alex de Minaur

Alexander Zverev is currently on a 10-match unbeaten streak. He lost his match against Argentina’s Francisco Cerundolo in the Madrid Open, last month. Zverev is the guy in form in Paris and after Novak Djokovic, he’s one of the favourites to win the 2024 French Open.

Meanwhile, Alex de Minaur has recently defeated Daniil Medvedev and the Aussie is enjoying his prime form at the red dirt. The 11th seed became the first Australian tennis star to reach the quarterfinals of the French Open.

Minaur has dominated his opponents on the first serve and his agility has also been a reason of concern for other tennis players. Thus, despite Zverev’s lethal form, the Aussie has a chance to reach his maiden Roland Garros semifinal.

Prediction: Alexander Zverev to win in five sets.

Quarterfinals: Jasmine Paolini vs Elena Rybakina

Elena Rybakina is yet to drop a set in the 2024 French Open. She has defeated the likes of Greet Minnen, Arantxa Rus, Elise Mertens, and Elina Svitolina in straight sets. Interestingly, the Kazakh tennis star has reached the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam for the first time since 2023 Wimbledon.

The 2022 Wimbledon Champion is keen to add another Grand Slam accolade to her trophy cabinet. Every tennis fan is familiar with Rybakina’s love for a perfect ace and she has smashed 229 aces in 2024. Meanwhile, Jasmine Paolini has exhibited her defensive process in the past few matches. However, the 12th seed hasn’t faced any seeded star on her route to the quarterfinals.

Prediction: Elena Rybakina to win straight sets.

Quarterfinals: Mirra Andreeva vs Aryna Sabalenka

The youngest player remaining in the 2024 French Open, Mirra Andreeva, is having a breakthrough season. The Russian prodigy defeated two-time Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka in the second round. In all her other matches, she has managed to record comfortable victories.

Meanwhile, Aryna Sabalenka has lost only two of her last 16 matches on clay, and both of them were against Iga Swiatek. The Belarusian tennis star has defeated the likes of Elena Rybakina, Danielle Collins, Elina Svitolina, and Jelena Ostapenko comfortably.
