Jannik Sinner vs Alexander Zverev match will be played at the Rod Laver Arena.
Jannik Sinner, the defending champion, faces one final hurdle in the form of Alexander Zverev, as he aspires to become the second youngest man to defend his Australian Open title. The German, on the other hand, will be desperate to finally win a Grand Slam major.
The Australian Open 2025 is now in its final leg with the women’s singles final producing stunning tennis. Against the odds, Madison Keys stunned two-time Australian Open winner Aryna Sabalenka, to be crowned as the new champion. The spotlight now turns to men’s singles and some high-volatile exchanges are expected between these two in-form players.
Both players have been flawless so far, benefiting from favourable draws due to their high rankings. Zverev was set to face a tough challenge in the semi-finals against Novak Djokovic, but the Serbian was forced to retire after the first set due to a muscle tear. Sinner on the other hand, has also dealt with injury concerns during the tournament and a lengthy contest could put the top seed’s fitness to the test.
The head-to-head is interestingly 4-2 in favour of Zverev, but it is crucial to note that Sinner hit his purple patch at the end of 2023 and since then, he’s been a different beast. Their only encounter in 2023 was during the semi-final of the Cincinnati Masters, where Sinner emerged victorious in three sets.
