Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas reportedly started dating in June 2023.

Paula Badosa recently took to social media to announce that her relationship with Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas has ended after almost a year.

Last year, in June, Badosa and Tsitsipas started dropping hints about their relationship. The couple became famous in the tennis world and on social media with the name ‘Tsitsidosa’. The two had a joint Instagram account named ‘Tsitsidosa’, which has been deactivated since the break-up announcement. They also shared selfies on their social media accounts. Additionally, they also shared a combined playlist on the music streaming application Spotify.

The couple later publicly revealed that they were together. The two tennis stars started attending each other’s matches from player boxes, as Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas also decided to play mixed doubles together. However, their plan failed, as Badosa had been suffering constantly from injuries.

However, the relationship that started almost 11 months ago, has come to an end. As per Paula Badosa, they had amicably decided to split up. The former WTA World No. 2 wrote on her Instagram story, “After careful consideration and many cherished moments together, Stefanos and I have decided to amicably part ways.

“We have shared a journey filled with love and learning, and it is as friends with immense mutual respect that we now choose to move forward on our own paths.”

Paula Badosa also thanked her and Stefanos Tsitsipas’ family and supporters. Additionally, she wished the Greek tennis star success in his future endeavours. She wrote further, “We are grateful for the support of our friends, family, and all who have been part of our story. As we transition into this new chapter of our lives, we continue to wish each other nothing but the best in all our endeavours. We kindly ask for privacy during this time, and we thank you for your understanding and respect.”

Stefanos Tsitsipas won the 2024 Monte Carlo Masters last month. He also reached the final of the ATP 500 Barcelona Open, where he lost against Casper Ruud. However, Brazil’s Thiago Monteiro eliminated Tsitsipas in the second round of the Madrid Open.

Meanwhile, Paula Badosa has been out of form for a long time as injuries have taken a toll on her health. This year, she has lost nine out of the 15 matches she played on the WTA tour. At the Madrid Open, she was also eliminated in the first round by countrywoman Jessica Bouzas Maneiro.
