'Swiftie' Roger Federer surprises fans with Taylor Swift selfie

Roger Federer had featured in a Coldplay concert last year.

Roger Federer stunned his fans around the world with his latest Instagram post. He posted a selfie with pop star Taylor Swift and it garnered 435k likes within an hour.

Federer informed the fans that he was in his “Swiftie era.” It indicates that the Swiss star has expanded his musical taste and has now become a fan of Taylor Swift.

The 42-year-old was grooving to the songs alongside his family at a Taylor Swift concert in Munich. He was accompanied by his wife, Mirka, and their children. Federer has twin daughters, Myla and Charlene and twin sons, Leo and Lennert.

As part of her “The Eras tour”, Swift performed at the Letzigrund Stadium on July 9 and will also be performing on July 10. She will next be seen in Milan on July 13 at San Siro Stadium.

Federer, a 20-time Grand Slam champion, had posted stories on his Instagram account showing that he was fully prepared at the concert. He had worn bracelets which had the wordings to her songs and paid a tribute to her legacy in the musical industry. Federer also followed the trend of exchanging the bracelets with other fans.

Roger Federer even wore the LED wristband during Swift’s performance on the stage. His ID card showed that he had obtained a VIP pass to the concert. Federer also posted a selfie with Swiss Ice Hockey player, Roman Josi.

Federer was seen at Wimbledon a few days ago and had met Sachin Tendulkar in the event. The eight-time Wimbledon champion has devoted his time now to travelling and spending time with family.

In July 2023, Federer was seen on stage at Zurich and even performed for a while with Coldplay during their ‘Music Of The Spheres World Tour.’ The legend had a shaker in his hand as the band performed their hit song,  ‘Don’t Panic’ from their 2000 debut album ‘Parachutes’.

The fans will be now awaiting to see where Roger Federer makes a surprise appearance next. He was present during the Laver Cup in 2023 and could again pay a visit to the young talents. Federer will certainly light up the atmosphere and it could be on the court or at a concert.
