(Watch) Anna Kalinskaya supports boyfriend Jannik Sinner from his box during US Open 2024 semifinals
Jannik Sinner will face America’s Taylor Fritz in the 2024 US Open final.
Russian tennis star Anna Kalinskaya was spotted supporting her boyfriend, Jannik Sinner at the Authur Ashe Stadium during the latter’s semi-final match against Jack Draper at US Open 2024. Sinner defeated the first-time Grand Slam finalist 7-5, 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 to claim his second Grand Slam title of the season.
After the clash, she also joined the Italian tennis star in his post-match cooldown, where Sinner can be seen cycling as Kalinskaya sits in the background. She was also present in the 23-year-old’s team box during his quarter-final match against Daniil Medvedev of Russia.
Facing Jack Draper in the semi-final of US Open 2024, the Italian was forced to put up his best level of tennis. Sinner won the first tight set 7-5. However, the second set was full of twists and turns as both players required medical attention during the changeover.
Jannik Sinner injured his left wrist during the ninth game of the second set when the score was tied 4-4. Meanwhile, Draper was repeatedly vomiting on the court due to stomach issues. The second set was forced into a tiebreak, eventually won by Sinner 7-6 (7-3).

The 23-year-old eventually reached his maiden US Open final by stunning Draper in straight sets and his girlfriend, Anna Kalinskaya attended the whole match. Thus, despite the rumours of a potential breakup between the two tennis stars, they are still together.
Sinner later took to social media and uploaded a picture, where he also penned a line of praise for Draper. He wrote, “Special to be in the final here @usopen. See you Sunday. @jackdraper0 congrats on an amazing tournament. That was a tough battle my friend.”
With the memorable victory, the 23-year-old has become the first Italian man to reach the final of the US Open. Meanwhile, Kalinskaya was eliminated in the third round by Beatriz Haddad Maia of Brazil, with the running going down 3-6, 1-6.
The 25-year-old’s form in 2024 has been affected by injuries and inconsistency. She was forced to retire from the quarterfinals of the 2024 Miami Open against Maria Sakkari of Greece. Meanwhile, he also had to retire against Elena Rybakina in the Wimbledon Championships.
