Scottish tennis star Andy Murray’s mother, Judy Murray, recently shared a post on social media. In the post, she uploaded a picture of Andy and Jamie Murray from their childhood and another one from Wimbledon 2024 Championships.

Last month, Andy Murray announced that he would retire from tennis at either Wimbledon or the Paris Olympics. While everything was going right, his story took an unfortunate turn at the Queen’s Club Championships. Murray suffered a back injury in the second round against Australia’s Jordan Thompson.

The Scotsman was forced to retire from the tournament. In addition to that, he had a undergo a back injury only one week before the 2024 Wimbledon Championships. The three-time Grand Slam champion constantly displayed his desire to play at the All England Lawn Tennis Club. However, his health and injury concerns had different plans.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist later announced that he won’t participate in the men’s singles event but will play men’s doubles alongside his brother, Jamie Murray, for the first time at Wimbledon.

The Murray brothers tried to win together at the grass court Major; however, the challenge of John Peers and Rinky Hijikata turned out to be impassable. They lost the first-round match in straight sets and shared a heartbroken and emotional hug, which ignited a sense of loss for every tennis enthusiast.

Judy Murray shared two pictures of her sons on social media. The first picture was of their children. Meanwhile, the second one was most recent from the Wimbledon Championships.

Judy Murray has played a crucial role in the success of Andy as well as Jamie. She coached them in their initial years. In addition to that, she was also Great Britain’s Fed Cup captain. Nevertheless, tennis fans will look forward to seeing the Scotsman in action for the last time at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
