Novak Djokovic had made his Wimbledon debut in 2005.

Novak Djokovic has been picking up wins and milestones at Wimbledon 2024. He is now on par with Roger Federer for most semi-final appearances at the grass court grand slam. Djokovic has reached the semifinals at Wimbledon for the 13th time.

The 37-year-old achieved the semi-final benchmark after Alex de Minaur withdrew due to a hip injury hours before the quarter-final match.

Federer had reached his 13th semifinal at Wimbledon in his 21st appearance. Meanwhile, Djokovic has done it in his 19th attempt and could eclipse the mark next season.

The World No. #2 has featured in every Wimbledon Championships since 2005. Djokovic has progressed past the second round in 18 of those editions. He had equalled Federer’s record of 19 second-round appearances at Wimbledon after beating Vit Kopriva in straight sets.

Novak Djokovic could face Lorenzo Musetti or Taylor Fritz in the semi-final at centrecourt. He is yet to lose a match against Fritz as they faced each other nine times on the tour. The pair have not met yet on grass as they have played on hard and clay courts.

On the other hand, Musetti has one win against Djokovic in six meetings. The young Italian defeated Djokovic at Monte Carlo last year. Just like Fritz, Musetti is yet to play a match against Djokovic on grass.

The Serbian has been one of the finest players on grass after Federer. Even though he had to undergo surgery on a torn medial meniscus last month, Djokovic has not compromised on his retrieval skills on the court.

Novak Djokovic has hit 48 aces in four matches and has won 83 percent of his first serves. The stats are in his favour as he has spent 10 hours on the court so far at Wimbledon 2024. He has hit 140 winners in four matches and his current form indicates that he will not stop.

The quarterfinal battle against Holger Rune was supposed to be a tough hurdle for Djokovic. But he dispatched the 15th seed with ease. The records have kept tumbling whenever Djokovic is on form. He is only two matches away from setting a historic record of 25 grand slam trophies.
