Novak Djokovic has played the championship match at Wimbledon nine times, winning seven.

The social media accounts of Wimbledon recently shared a video clip of Novak Djokovic warming up alongside his son Stefan.

Djokovic defeated Great Britain’s Jacob Fearnley in his second-round fixture at Wimbledon 2024 on Thursday. Playing on Centre Court, the Serbian tennis star sealed the victory in four sets.

However, before the match, the 24-time Grand Slam champion was warming up with his son Stefan. The official social media accounts of the Wimbledon Championships uploaded the small video. They captioned the post, “Stefan helping dad warm-up for his second round match.”

Three-time Wimbledon champion Boris Becker also reacted to the post on X (formerly Twitter). The former German tennis star wrote, “Beautiful moment captured on camera. Stefan helps his father in the warm-up!”

In the third round, Novak Djokovic will face Australia’s Alexei Popyrin. The Aussie has reached the third round at the Wimbledon Championships for the first time in his professional career. Additionally, Popyrin recorded a praiseworthy 3-6, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Argentina’s Tomas Martin Etcheverry in a five-set marathon on Thursday.

Before that, he stunned Brazil’s Thiago Monteiro in four sets in the first round. Alexei Popyrin dominated both matches on his serve. Against Monteiro, he made 23 errors and scored 61 winners. Meanwhile, against Etcheverry, he scored 65 winners, while his unforced errors increased to 57.

However, the World No. 47 has his biggest challenge awaiting him in the third round, where he will face seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic. The Serbian tennis star is currently in pursuit of equaling Roger Federer’s record of eight Wimbledon singles titles.
