Football continues to hold the top spot in sports betting in Brazil in one of the biggest Brazilian casinos, accounting for more than 83% of active users and nearly 90% of total bets. The sport’s cultural relevance and the popularity of domestic tournaments, such as the Brasileirão Série A, make it the clear leader in the country’s betting landscape.
The same report shows sports betting in Brazil is growing. Tennis and basketball are distant football runners-up, with 6.23% and 3.19% of active users, respectively. However, both have shown consistent growth, especially basketball, which increased by nearly 30% compared to previous months. Futsal also recorded a strong surge, growing more than 60%, reflecting the public’s growing interest in fast-paced and accessible formats of the sport.
In the ranking of competitions, national tournaments dominate. The Brasileirão Série A leads with 11.87% of total bets, followed by Série B (5.10%) and the Copa Libertadores (4.50%). International leagues such as the Premier League and La Liga maintain relevance, each representing around 3–4% of wagers, while regional cups like the Copa do Brasil and Copa Sul-Americana also attract considerable activity. These figures confirm the strong role of major leagues in sustaining betting engagement across the country.
When it comes to market preferences, the “final result” option remains the most popular among users, representing over 40% of total bets. Other common markets include “double chance,” “both teams to score,” and “total corners.” The average stake across the platform hovers around R$5, most frequently seen in American football, snooker, and darts wagers.
The growing participation of Brazilian users also underscores their perception for controlled and conscious betting habits. Understanding limits and maintaining responsible gaming behavior are crucial not only for the well-being of players but also for the sustainable growth of the sports betting market.
