Conor McGregor is expected to be part of the UFC White House
Conor McGregor’s long-awaited return to combat sports appears to be edging closer. The Irishman, who has not competed since his brutal leg injury against Dustin Poirier in 2021, has remained one of the most talked-about figures in the fight world despite his absence from the Octagon.
And now, McGregor himself has dropped perhaps his strongest hint yet that his comeback is finally on the horizon.
Over the past few years, McGregor has kept his fighting spirit alive through his growing involvement in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), where he serves as a co-owner.
The promotion has skyrocketed in popularity, largely thanks to its aggressive style and McGregor’s unmistakable star power. From hyping up fights at press conferences to making surprise ringside appearances, the former UFC double champion has used BKFC as his latest stage.
Conor McGregor believes his comeback in MMA is “paramount”

During Uncrowned Film’s new documentary What is BKFC?, Ariel Helwani joined McGregor at BKFC 82, where the 36-year-old opened up about his combat sports future.
“I’m coming back with the White House,” McGregor declared. “I’m having fun with all this, but I’m under no illusion… my comeback for mixed martial arts is paramount. I’d love it to be Chandler… Something good is coming was what they said.”
Those words echo the confidence and showmanship that have defined McGregor’s career. His mention of Michael Chandler once again stokes speculation that their long-discussed UFC showdown could finally materialize, possibly on the rumored “White House card,” which UFC President Dana White has teased as a monumental event in the works.
McGregor’s bare-knuckle ambitions remain alive
Interestingly, McGregor’s plans don’t seem limited to the UFC. The Dublin native has repeatedly hinted at lacing up for a bare-knuckle bout under his own BKFC banner once his UFC chapter closes.
Earlier this year, he even teased a potential world title pursuit in bare-knuckle boxing, fueling excitement among fans who have grown used to his constant reinvention.
For now, though, the combat sports world waits with bated breath. Whether it’s under the bright lights of a UFC comeback or a shocking debut in BKFC, Conor McGregor’s next move is guaranteed to shake the sport once again. The Notorious One is coming, and he’s bringing the White House with him.
