Israel Adesanya’s emotions got the best of him during the UFC 305 pre-fight press conference.

‘The Last Stylebender’ will strive to become a three-time middleweight champion and create history when he faces current titleholder Dricus du Plessis in Perth on Saturday night.

On Friday morning, the two men appeared together at a UFC 305 press conference to promote the fight, and their trash talk became incredibly personal.

The dispute with du Dricus Plessis, who lives and trains in South Africa and considers himself the continent’s first true UFC champion, has revolved around his African origin.

That has irritated Israel Adesanya, a Nigerian who relocated to New Zealand with his family for a better life when he was younger.

“Bro shut the f**k up. You don’t know anything about my story! You have no idea who the f**k I am,” Adesanya yelled. “Listen, my father and my self had to wake up at 4 a.m. and clean the banks while my mom studied to be a nurse. You don’t know my f****ng story. Don’t f****ng speak on my story if you don’t know my story. I will show you who you are on Sunday, so right now, shut the f**k up….I’m not your f****ng man, b****. You sound like a pig; I will slay you.”

When Israel Adesanya was asked if he would be returning his belt to Nigeria following UFC 305, Dricus du Plessis intervened, implying that his opponent had grown up wealthy.

‘DDP’ inquired whether his opponent would be accompanied by his ‘servants’. When the camera focused back on Israel Adesanya, he appeared distraught. “He touched a subject there because I do this for my family,” he explained, tears running down his cheeks.

“I do this for my people I love, and I’ll fight for you forever, I swear to god.”

Despite his broken voice, the 35-year-old embraced his emotions and delivered a heartfelt speech. Israel Adesanya added: “I am a human being. I am a man.”

“I can cry and whoop you’re a*** at the same time.

“I’m going to f****ng kill your dreams, b***. I wanna f****ng kill your dream.”

Israel Adesanya then dropped his microphone and walked off stage, only to return seconds later for a staredown with the individual who had angered him.

Fortunately, the two guys were able to stand inches apart without starting the UFC 305 main event prematurely. Dricus Du Plessis ridiculed Israel Adesanya as soon as he had the chance.

“Come on guys, stop crying at press conferences; it’s not that serious,” he tweeted just after the press conference.
