UFC successfully hosted UFC 305: Du Plessis vs Adesanya on August 18, 2024 from the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. The event is action packed with some close fights and clean finishes. Get to know what happened on UFC 305, as here are the complete show summary results of the show.

  • Song Kenan defeated Ricky Glenn by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 29-28).

Carlos Prates vs Li Jingliang

The Welterweight match between Carlos Prates & Li Jingliang opened the UFC 305 main card. Round 1 began with both exchanging strikes and kicks. Prates delivered a couple of left hand strikes and jabs Jinglaing tried his best to connect a try, but wasn’t able to. Jingliang delivered two leg kicks and Prates gave back with the big left hand to end the first round.

Round 2 started with Jingliang delivering a couple of leg kicks and Prates had to work through in the start. Both exchanged a series of leg kicks, where Prates delivered a knee to the body to end the exchange. Jingliang took Prates to the cage and they fight, tackled each other. Prates delivered a couple of left hands and the third one knocked Jingliang out at 4:02 of Round 2.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs Tai Tuivasa

Round 1 began with both exchanging strikes, where Rozenstruik went for the leg kick and big right hand. Tuivasa went for the leg kick and both carried the round in a calm way. Jab and leg kicks carried the entire round until the bell rang.

Round 2 began with Tuivasa going for a big swing and connecting a combo. Rozenstruik went for the big left and the fight got heated up. Rozenstruik controlled the round with right hand and knee. Tuivasa countered with two punches and Jairzinho fought back.

In the final round, Rozenstruik went for a jab and Tuivasa delivered a right hand. Both got slowed up and Tuivasa went for leg kicks. Rozenstruik delivered a combo to make Tuivasa bleed from the nose. Rozenstruik got fired up to deliver a couple of strikes, jabs and an uppercut and the bell rang. With the referee score of (29-28, 27-30, 30-27) Jairzinho Rozenstruik defeated Tai Tuivasa by Split Decision.

Dan Hooker vs Mateusz Gamrot

The pressure was put on Dan Hooker right away, when he was unable to land strikes on Gamrot. Gamrot opened up to deliver a right hand and took down Hooker, which made him bleed from the left eyebrow. Gamrot gets fired up to land shots and Hooker is full of blood. Hooker escaped the takedown but was unable to take him out back.

Round 2 started with Hooker going for a body kick and Gunther shooting a couple. Hooker gave the fight back to Gamrot with elbow strikes to take control of the round.

Body kick by Hooker started round 3. Hooker delivered a left hook and body shots. Gamrot gave a right hand and a stiff jab. Hooker delivered a right hand which made Gamrot’s left eye swell. Hooker delivered a right hand and pressured Gamrot.

With the end of all the three rounds, with the score of (28-29, 29-28, 29-28) Hooker won the match by split decision.

Kai Kara-France vs Steve Erceg

Round 1 began with Kara France firing up against Erceg. Kara-France went for the right hand. Erceg went for the jab and a leg kick. Erceg went after Kai with a combo. Kara-France delivered a big right hand and Erceg went down and he fired up. Erceg tried to stand but dropped again. Referee stopped the match and Kai Kara-France won the match by TKO (strikes) at 4:04 of Round 1.

UFC Middleweight Championship- Dricus Du Plessis (C) vs Israel Adesanya

The UFC Middleweight Championship was on the line as the champ Dricus Du Plessis defended it against Israel Adesanya. Round 1 began with Du Plessis went for the leg kick and Adesanya gave it back. Both went for body kicks. Du Plessis failed to takedown Adesanya and the round went with Adesanya delivering strikes and uppercuts and Du Plessing delivering leg kicks and body shots.

Adesanya with the leg kick started round 2 and Duplessis jumped after him trying for a rear-naked choke, but lost position. Adesanya gave an uppercut and Du Plessis took him down against the cage. Du Plessis landed a knee to the legs and pressured Adesanya to end the round.

Adesanya was pressured in round 3 and started with a nasty body shot and leg kick. Du Plessis slowed down, but a big shot stunned Adesanya. The champ tried for a takedown, but failed, Adesanya fought back with body shots and jabs to end the round in favor of Adesanya.

Du Plessis went for the leg kick and jab. Adesanya delivered a combo and walked down to deliver body kicks and punches. The champ slowed down and Adesanya gave an uppercut and body shots. However Du Plessis with a big left hook stunned the challenger. Adesanya stumbled and Du Plessis locked him with the rear-naked choke to make Adesanya tap out.
