Manel Kape and Asu Almabayev will clash for a championship opportunity
Last week, the MMA leader took over Seattle, Washington, with a card headlined by former UFC Bantamweight and Flyweight Champion Henry Cejudo, who faced Song Yadong. This Saturday, the action moves back to the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
A Flyweight clash between two rising prospects, Manel Kape, and Asu Almabayev is the headline of the Apex show. Kape was originally scheduled to battle Brandon Royval who withdrew due to an undisclosed injury. Apart from this, there are a total of five matches on the main card while the prelims feature a total of six fights.

Manel Kape vs Asu Almabayev – Flyweight (125lbs)
As mentioned above, Manel ‘Starboy’ Kape was originally scheduled to face former title challenger Brandon Royval who withdrew from the fight due to an injury. Asu ‘Zulfikar’ Almabayev stepped in to replace him, originally, Almabayev was set to face former flyweight title challenger Steve Erceg, but Erceg was shifted to battle former champion Brandon Moreno on March 29 in Mexico City.
Both fighters are looking for a decisive win to stake their claim for a match at the current Flyweight king Alexandre Pantoja.
Cody Brundage vs Julian Marquez – Middleweight (185lbs)
A Middleweight clash between Cody Brundage and Julian ‘The Cuban Missile Crisis’ Marquez will serve as the co-main event of the show. Brundage was originally scheduled to battle the Ultimate Fighter 2024 (Team Grasso vs Team Shevchenko) middleweight winner Ryan Loder who pulled out from the fight.

UFC Fight Night Manel Kape vs Asu Almabayev is scheduled for Saturday, March 01, with the main card starting at 7 PM ET/4 PM PT, at 12 A.M. GMT (Sunday) in the UK and 5:30 a.m. IST (Sunday) in India. Please note that these timings may vary depending on the duration of the main card fights.
