UFC returns to Meta Apex this weekend for Sterling vs Zalal.

After a trip to Winnipeg, Canada, last week, the MMA leader returns to Las Vegas with a card from the Meta Apexa, before travelling to Perth, Australia, for a Fight Night card next week, headlined by former UFC Welterweight Champion Jack Della Maddalena, who battles rising contender Carlos Prates.

Speaking of this weekend’s card, the former Bantamweight Champion Aljamain Sterling battles fellow top 10 ranked Featherwieght Youssef Zalal in what is promising to be a technical affair.

Zalal is riding a five-fight win streak with recent wins over former title challengers such as Calvin Kattar and Josh Emmett. Currently ranked number 7, Zalal is looking to topple the former Bantamweight Champion and take his number 5 spot in the division.

After dropping the title to Sean O’Malley, Aljamain Sterling moved to the 145-pound division. Since the move, he has gone 2-1, earning decision wins over Calvin Kattar and Brian Ortega, while losing on the scorecards to Movsar Evloev.

Sterling, too, is looking to get the title shot since the move, and the match this weekend will prove which of the two is able to establish themselves as contenders against the dominant Champion Alexander Volkanovski.

The co-main event will see Norma Dumont take on Joselyne Edwards. The rest of the card features names like Alexander Hernandez, Davey Grant, Ryan Spann, Rodolfo Viera, Mayra Bueno Silva, and Cody Durden, among others.
