The UFC Mexico 2025 match card delivered as promised!
UFC Fight Night in Mexico City delivered an unforgettable evening as the octagon came alive with intense bouts and standout performances. The electric atmosphere in the heart of Mexico set the stage for an event where skill, heart, and determination collided.
Fans were treated to a series of hard-fought battles that not only showcased emerging talent but also reinforced the UFC’s growing presence in the region. With every punch and submission, the fighters left no doubt about their commitment to excellence, promising even more exciting matchups in the future.
At UFC Mexico 2025, the action was relentless throughout the card. In the main event, Brandon Moreno secured a dominant win over Steve Erceg by unanimous decision, with all judges scoring the fight 49-46.
On the undercard, Manuel Torres stopped Drew Dober by TKO due to strikes at 1:45 of Round 1, while Edgar Chairez showcased his submission skills by defeating CJ Vergara via a face crank at 2:30 into Round 1.
Raul Rosas Jr. outpointed Vince Morales with unanimous decision scores of 29-28 on all cards, and David Martinez claimed a TKO victory over Saimon Oliveira at 4:38 of the first round.
Kevin Borjas earned a unanimous decision win over Ronaldo Rodriguez with scores of 30-27, 30-27, and 29-28, while Ateba Gautier delivered a knockout with a knee strike at 3:32 in Round 1 against Jose Daniel Medina.
Melquizael Costa and Loopy Godinez both secured unanimous decision victories over Christian Rodriguez and Julia Polastri respectively, each with scores of 29-28 across the board. Rafa Garcia also emerged victorious by unanimous decision against Vinc Pichel, with scorecards reading 30-27, 30-27, and 29-28.
Rounding out the evening, Jamall Emmers defeated Gabriel Miranda via TKO from strikes at 4:06 of Round 1, and in a tightly contested bout, MarQuel Mederos edged past Austin Hubbard by split decision, with scores of 28-29, 29-28, and 29-28.
UFC Mexico 2025 payout
Brandon Moreno
‘The Assassin Baby’ defeated Amir Albazi in his most recent fight and allegedly earned around $100,000 as a basic salary. His previous encounter against Brandon Rovyal earned him a guaranteed $200,000. Before that, he faced Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 290.
At the time, Moreno was still the flyweight champion. Despite losing the match, he received a basic pay of half a million dollars. Moreno is expected to get between $100,000 and $200,000 at UFC Fight Night 256, as well as a $42,000 sponsorship payout.
Steve Erceg
Erceg’s most recent bout was against Kai Kara-France. But at UFC 305, the Kiwi knocked out Erceg in the first round. Nonetheless, ‘Astroboy’ earned $75,000 as his basic pay for the event.
Prior to that, he faced the current flyweight champion at UFC 301 and lost. He was paid $38,000 for the match. Erceg’s sixth UFC bout took place on March 29, 2025. As a result, we should anticipate him to receive around $100,000 in basic pay versus Moreno.
Drew Dober
In the co-main event, Dober faced Manuel Torres in the lightweight category. According to several sources, Dober receives around $100,000 just turning up for his matches. And, while Tapology reports that his lifetime earnings are $758,000, the lightweight contender has not disclosed his income. Nonetheless, we know he earned a total of $325,000 for his victory against Ricky Glenn at UFC Vegas 80.
Manuel Torres
Torres has a stated lifetime earnings of $150,000 and has only fought four times in the UFC. Torres’ purse was $38,000 following his loss to Ignacio Bahamondes. Torres’ base salary for the battle against Dober is expected to be between $45,000 and $50,000.
Every other fighter on the main card
Kelvin Gastelum is expected to bolster his earnings once again on March 29, 2025, with projections placing his purse between $250,000 and $300,000. This comes on the heels of his $250,000 payday at UFC on ABC 6 against Daniel Rodriguez and an earlier base salary of $180,000 from his win over Chris Curtis at UFC 287.
Meanwhile, Joe Pyfer, who earned a modest $12,000 base at UFC 287 when he faced Gerald Meerschaert—and has since had three more fights (including one loss)—is trending toward a base salary of roughly $45,000 at UFC Fight Night 256.
The event also features rising star Raul Rosas Jr., the youngest UFC winner who once earned a $50,000 bonus (a payout that even helped him gift his mother a minivan) in 2022.
Although Rosas hasn’t disclosed much about his exact earnings, expectations suggest he could secure around $100,000 for showing up to his fights. His bout against Vince Morales is anticipated to follow a similar trend; ‘Vandetta’ Morales, who previously fought in 2025 at UFC Vegas 102 for a base pay of $75,000, is likely to command a comparable figure on this card.
