Prime Volleyball League 2023: List of captains of all eight teams
The tournament returns for its second season after a successful inaugural campaign.
The Prime Volleyball League season 2 is set to begin on 04 February in Bengaluru. The second edition will be held across three cities starting from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kochi. The tournament is set to commence on 04 February and will run up to a month until 04 March 2023. The inaugural edition had seven teams taking part but the second season has a new entry - Mumbai Meteors filling up the eighth spot.
The top four teams after the round-robin stages will proceed to the playoffs. The winner of the edition will have a chance to take part in World Club Championships. The Club World Championship will be in India in December 2023. Kolkata Thunderbolts were the inaugural champions, defeating Ahmedabad Defenders (15-1315-10,15-12) in straight sets. In this article let us take a look at the captain of all eight teams taking part in Prime Volleyball League season 2.
Few players have been retained by the respective franchises from season 1 and have also been named the captain. Naveen Raja Jacob is a vital cog for Chennai Blitz and has been given the additional responsibility of leading the side. Pankaj Sharma is retained by Bengaluru Torpedoes and like Naveen has been given the captaincy. Ashwal Rai will be leading the defending champions and shall be looking to retain the title.
