List of World Record and National Record in Men's Weightlifting

Only five of these weight categories are Olympic weight categories for 2024.
Weightlifting was first contested in the 1896 Olympics and since 1920 has been a regular event at the Olympics. A total of only ten weight categories are going to be contested combing both the men’s and women’s sections (five each) in Paris 2024. Below is the list of World Record and National Record in all weight categories of men's weightlifting. Non-Olympics weight categories records are added since they compete at the World Championships and Continental Games.
IWF defined "world standards" as the minimum lifts needed to qualify as world records in the new weight classes. Wherever World Standard appears in the list, no weightlifter has yet lifted these weights in the IWF-sanctioned competition.
