7:30 pm The final day of the Asian Wrestling Championship 2021 concludes with India winning one silver and one bronze. Deepak Punia won silver in the 86kg weight category, whereas Sanjeet grabbed a podium place courtesy of his bronze medal win in the 92kg weight category.

6:25 pm Punia, the 2018 world junior silver medalist, caught the wrestling world's attention when he made an impressive run into the final at the 2019 World Championships in Nursultan, which also served as the initial qualifier for the Tokyo Olympics.

On Day 5, Ravi Kumar clinched gold in the 57kg weight category, whereas Bajrang Punia won silver in the 65kg final. On the other hand, India’s medal tally was enhanced by three bronze medal wins by Karan, Narsingh Yadav and Satywart Kadian in the 70kg, 79kg and 97kg weight categories respectively.
