Olympic medallists Ravi Dahiya, Aman Sehrawat launch Vickrant Mahajan's book Superpositivity Exchange
Ravi Dahiya and Aman Sehrawat are being mentored by motivator Vickrant Mahajan.
Chhatrasal Stadium is the # 1 sports centre in India when it comes to Olympic achievement. With 6Olympic medals over the past 5 quadrennials, it is the most prolific centre for any Olympic sport in India. But after the iconic glory of the 2008 and 2012 Olympics, there was an uncomfortable hiatus when thestadium did not have any accomplishment in the 2016 Olympics.
That statistic thankfully changed in 2021, when Chhatrasal wrestler Ravi Dahiya became India’s first male Olympic medallist after 9 years, and at the Paris Olympics 2024, when Aman Sehrawat became India’s youngest-ever Olympic medallist.
While a lot of people attribute Ravi and Aman’s success to hard work and talent, there is a secret thirdingredient that has equally contributed to their historic accomplishment: a positive conversation of 7questions!
Since 2019, Ravi Dahiya has been mentored by motivator Vickrant Mahajan, who is also the founder ofthe Superpositivity Foundation, and in early 2023, Aman Sehrawat also joined Vickrant’s mentorshipprogram. The core USP of that program was that both of them would stay away from all forms ofnegativity and would only focus on creating a powerful surge of positive energy every day.

Vickrant devised an ingenious tool to help them do that: a positive conversation called Superpositivity Exchange. It is based on seven simple questions that touch upon the most positive elements in life: gratitude, forgiveness, gratitude, appreciation and improvement.
The players would call him every evening after their training and they would discuss these seven questions on a loop day after day. The caveat was that nothing negative would ever be discussed during this exchange and their focus would be only on mining the positives from that day.
“According to research, negativity spreads most powerfully through our words and conversations. So, itis obvious that the only way to reverse that is through positive conversations. As the proverbial law ofrepetition says, we get strong at a skill or craft by consciously doing it on repeat,” said Vickrant.
“Through the Superpositivity Exchange, I repeatedly asked them these seven positive questions everyday and they just kept finding the positive answers every day. Like brushing removes toxins every day, this exchange helped remove their negativity every day. And what remained was a pure being suffusedwith possibilities, for whom Olympic glory seemed like a walk in the park!”
Tokyo Olympics silver medallist Ravi Dahiya said, “Most people don’t understand that we athletes aresurrounded by a veil of negativity, internal as well as systemic. Doing the Superpositivity Exchange everyday helped me in more ways than I can express.
Thanks to this exchange, I have been easily able to transcend massive setbacks—self-doubt, unrest, injury, failure—en route my wrestling journey, and I attribute a huge part of my success at the Tokyo Olympics and my overall wellbeing in life to my daily positive conversations with Vickrant.”
“Before I started doing the Superpositivity Exchange, I was very insecure about myself and morbidlyscared of Ravi. Especially, while answering the seventh question, which is improvement-related, I keptgrowing in confidence and self-belief.
Vickrant even gave me a gold medal poster which he asked me to paste in my room and look at hundreds of times every day to drive that visual deep into my subconscious. I believe it is positivity that attracted my Olympic medal against all odds,” said Aman Sehrawat, India’s youngest-ever Olympic medallist.
Another Chhatrasal wrestler who is a huge beneficiary of this program is former junior world championand 2022 Commonwealth Games gold medallist Deepak Punia. He said, “Ravi and I joined Vickrant’smentorship program at the same time in 2019. Since then, I have been setting bigger and bigger goalsevery day, and I feel superpositive in reaching out towards them.
Growing up, we were always discouraged to think big, but the daily Superpositivity Exchange helps me constantly look at the infinity that exists within and beyond. Honestly, as sportspersons, that level of positivity is the biggest gift we can get, far bigger than any material resource or help.”
It was befitting that the three biggest Chhatrasal wrestlers came together on 28th August to launch the book Superpositivity Exchange that has shaped their thinking over the years and thus share the best- kept secret that has made their akhara the most powerful nursery for Olympic achievement in India.
