Wrestling Asian Olympic Qualifiers 2024: Updated schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details

Antim Panghal is the lone Indian to win the quota so far.
The most anticipated tournament of the month is upon us, as wrestlers will have their penultimate opportunity to secure quota spots for the Paris Olympics 2024. The Wrestling Asian Olympic Qualifiers 2024 will take place from April 19 to April 21 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
The finalists (top 2) from each category will earn a quota place for their country. So far, India has secured just one quota, thanks to Antim Panghal’s bronze medal at the World Championships 2023 in the Women’s 53 kg category.
India will send a 17-member squad, aiming to secure a significant number of quotas. The spotlight will be on Asian Champion Aman Sehrawat (Men’s 57 kg), Tokyo Olympian Deepak Punia (Men’s 86 kg), two-time world bronze medalist Vinesh Phogat (Women’s 60 kg), and the promising young female athletes.
There will be no gold or bronze medal matches; instead, the winners of the respective semifinals will obtain the quotas. Regarding the Indian contenders, Deepak Punia and Aman Sehrawat are expected to be favourites to reach the finals. Other emerging talents will also be strong contenders for the quotas. The draws will be published one day before the event commences.
