"The Tribal Chief" is on the way to becoming the longest WWE Champion in 3 decades

"The Tribal Chief" retained his championship at WrestleMania 39 and is on the way to becoming the longest WWE Champion in 3 decades. Since, 2020 Roman Reigns has been on top of his game and is going on strong. It is still unknown whom Roman Reigns might face at the Night of Champions PPV where he would complete his 1000-Day reign as WWE CHAMP!!

So, when is the proper moment for someone to come forward and take Reigns' world titles? The Head of the Table has reigned supreme for 970+ days now. He has defeated the likes of Brock Lesnar, Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Drew McIntyre, and many other memorable names to keep his champ status.

What else can WWE do with this unrivaled dominance? Fans and reviewers appear to have been having this conversation for quite some time. You've most likely read some version of this piece over the last three years as we search for the superstar who can outwit The Bloodline and win WWE's top reward.

These are 4 superstars who are the biggest threat to Roman Reigns' dominant championship reign.

Seth Rollins

The 36-year-old is one of the company's most popular celebrities. It's time to give him a second chance as the top babyface and rekindle his feud with Roman Reigns. Because The Tribal Chief technically never beat The Visionary, he has the most genuine claim to a rematch. Instead, Reigns won the Royal Rumble in 2022 via disqualification, and his Shield stablemate never had another chance to humiliate him. However, with him getting the opportunity to compete for the new World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions, it will be intriguing to watch how WWE brings this event to fruition.

Drew McIntyre

Drew Mcintyre could be one of the wrestlers who might dethrone and end the reign of "The Head of the Table". Drew McIntyre isn't been seen since his loss at WrestleMania 39 but it can be expected that he will be soon back in the company. Both Reigns and Mcintyre last faced each other at Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales where Reigns picked the win to retain his Universal championship with the help of Solo Sikoa. Now, with cracks in Bloodline, it would be interesting to see whether WWE plans a revenge rematch for "The Scottish Warrior".

Cody Rhodes

The Cody Rhodes push has lost some luster following a dismal defeat at WrestleMania 39, but he still appears to be the favorite to overcome the ultimate boss It's unknown how The American Nightmare will conclude the narrative or how WWE can top a Cinderella victory at Sofi Stadium. Nonetheless, he remains a safe bet and the strongest possibility to unseat Reigns. Yes, it's difficult to be hopeful about his chances after such a disappointing result and a brutal beatdown on Raw after Mania. After all, we've seen this movie before. Nonetheless, Rhodes would be an excellent choice as the company's new face. That is what keeps him apart from the crowd.

Gunther

With Gunther successfully defending the intercontinental title against Drew McIntyre and Sheamus at WrestleMania, he's in the midst of his own extended championship reign. As a result, some inventive booking would be required. But we're thinking in the long run here. Gunther is one of the only top-tier superstars with whom Reigns has yet to meet, and a Bloodline vs. Imperium war would be well worth the price of admission.

Gunther has remained physically superior to the rest of the WWE roster since being brought up to the main roster, which means he would have a decent chance of not just facing Roman Reigns but also dealing with the rest of the gang in The Bloodline. Gunther, like Reigns, has been on a winning streak and has been defending his IC belt ever since.
