WWE Backlash 2023 is just around the corner. WWE is all set to bring the next premium PPV live event to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The following premium event will take place on May 6 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot. The studio will stage a premium live event in the city for the first time since 2005, and the opening ceremony will be headlined by Grammy-winning rapper Bad Bunny. Bad Bunny and his erstwhile closest friend, Damian Priest, will square off in an exclusive "San Juan" street battle in Backlash.

The main event will feature a confrontation between The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar and The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes, two of WWE's top wrestlers.

But before these guys could main event WWE Backlash there were some guys whose success and wins made WWE Backlash this huge. So, let's look back at the top five wrestlers with the most match win at WWE Backlash.

5. Big Show - 4 wins

Big Show is one of the most biggest and dominant WWE superstars of all time. Big Show just made the list tying with Chris Benoit for the same spot. Big Show first appeared at WWE Backlash 2000 where fought the Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle where he squashed Kurt Angle in just 2 minutes and 35 seconds to win the match. Show's second win came in a handicap match where he destroyed Steven Richards and Justin Credible in mere 2 minutes and 11 seconds. His third win came against the masked Lucha Libre star Rey Mysterio. Big Show's 4th and final win at WWE Backlash came against "The Punjabi Playboy" The Great Khali.

4. Chris Benoit - 4 wins

Chris Benoit is without a doubt one of the greatest professional wrestlers to set foot in the squared circle. Can't be a judge on his personal life but professionally Benoit was in the top league himself. It was as if he set the league. The Canadian scored 4 wins in WWE Backlash PPV. Chris Benoit first fought in WWE Backlash 2000 where he won the match by DQ against Chris Jericho.

But it was WWE Backlash 2001 where Benoit cemented himself as WWE's top guy beating Kurt Angle to win his second Backlash win in a submission match. In his third WWE Backlash win he beat Shawn Michaels and Triple H in a triple threat match to win the World Heavyweight Championship. At WWE Backlash 2007, he defeated MVP in a singles match for the United States Championship and register his 4th and final win at Backlash PPV. There could have been more to see from the man but he committed suicide in 2007.

3. Triple H - 4

Triple H is a 13-time World Champion

The Game is a 13-time World Champion. And he doesn't need an introduction. At the inaugural edition of WWE Backlash, Triple H faced off against X-Pac in a singles bout, which he won in 19 minutes and 19 seconds. In 2001, Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin teamed together to defend their WWF Championship and Intercontinental Championship against The Brothers of Destruction in a Winner Take All match. At the time, the latter tandem held the tag team titles. The match was won by Triple H and Stone Cold. Triple H's second victory at WWE Backlash.

In 2003 he fought alongside Ric Flair and Chris Jericho to defeat the trio of Kevin Nash, Shawn Michaels, and Booker T to win the 6-man tag team match to register his third WWE Backlash win. His fourth and final victory came during a fatal four-way elimination match at WWE Backlash 2008, when he survived to the finish and pinned Randy Orton to win the WWE Championship. His last WWE Backlash match was against The Legacy (Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Ted DiBiase Jr.). HE fought in a 6 man tag team match where he lost alongside Shane McMahon and Batista.

2. Edge - 5

The Rated R-Superstar has 5 wins under his belt. He won his last match at WrestleMania Backlash 2022 against AJ Styles by technical submission. Edge appeared in the last WWE Backlash after appearing at Backlash 2009 where he beat John Cena in a Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Championship. He defeated Chris Benoit again in a Last Man Standing bout at WWE Backlash in 2005.

In 2004, The Ultimate Opportunist pinned Kane in a one-on-one match with a flawless spear. Edge made his WWE Backlash debut in 2000, defending the tag team championships alongside Christian. To retain the championship, the legendary combo overcame D-Generation X members Road Dogg and X-Pac.

1. Kane - 6

The latest memory the WWE universe has of Kane would be as corporate Kane as it was his last gimmick. But "The Big Red Machine" was just ruthless and destroyed his opponents with ease. Kane tops the list with most match wins at WWE Backlash with six. His first win came at the inaguaral WWE Backlash in 1999 where he squashed Big Boss man in just 2 minutes and 45 seconds.

He recorded his second win at WWE Backlash 2003 alongside RVD to defend his World Tag-Team Championships against Dudley Boyz. His third win came when he pinned the giant Viscera in 2005. His fourth win came against Chavo Guerrero to retain his ECW Championship in 2008. In, 2009 he beat CM Punk to register his 5th win and his final win came against Bray Wyat at WWE Backlash in 2016.
