The Raw after Night of Champions was held this past week and had hinted at some of the upcoming storylines, feuds, alliances, etc. WWE had also scheduled certain matches for the June 5 episode of Raw. Here is a detailed preview of the upcoming June 5, 2023 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw

Venue: June 5, 2023 episode of Monday Night Raw is scheduled to be held at XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, United States.

Raw Timing: WWE Raw is live in India on Tuesday morning [June 6, 2023] at 5.30 AM which can be viewed on Sony Ten 1 and Sony Ten 1 HD.

Match Cards & Predictions

Money in the Bank Qualification Match: Zoey Stark vs Natalya

Natalya suffered a devastating loss to Rhea Ripley on Night of Champions at Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Natalya was literally squashed by the champion and it made her stand back in the line for the next championship opportunity. However, winning the Money in the Bank briefcase could bypass her waiting line and reach the goal of championship pursuit.

On the other hand Zoey Stark is one of the fresh faces in WWE, who recently got signed from the NXT roster. Zoey Stark has been one of the strongest wrestlers and has proved her talent on the NXT brand. Although she has just started in the main roster she is already a talking point in WWE by defeating Nikki Cross in the main roster debut, causing Becky Lynch’s victory and aligning with Trish Stratus.

Coming to this match, Zoey Stark has the clear upper hand and could easily qualify for the Money in the Bank by pinning Natalya.

The Viking Riders vs Alpha Academy

The Viking Riders moved to Raw as a result of WWE Draft and had never won a match since then. The Alpha Academy has been the favorites of the two and could be the possible winner for the night. Chad Gable and Otis have been heel in the past, but after Otis joined Maxine Dupree all the things have changed. They got their pops from the crowd and started chanting for them with “SHOOSH”. Viking Riders are the tough guys to beat, but Alpha Academy deserves a victory more than them.

JD McDonagh vs Dolph Ziggler

JD McDonagh and Dolph Ziggler already had a match last week, which ended in a double count out. McDonagh brutally attacked Ziggler by stomping his head on the steel staircase. The brutal punishment could lead to a rematch the coming week. Ziggler could be injured by the attack, however there is no official confirmation on it. However if Ziggler was ready to fight this could be one of the talking points of the show.

JD McDonagh is said to win the match as he seems more dominant than Ziggler or it could result in Disqualification by building the feud until Money in the Bank. WWE Money in the Bank is occurring in the United Kingdom, which is a near hometown of the Irish Ace JD McDonagh.

Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Finn Balor vs Matt Riddle

Although this match is not yet confirmed, Finn Balor vs Matt Riddle is likely to happen on Monday Night Raw as a Money in the Bank Qualifying match. Finn Balor has revealed on the last episode of Raw, that Judgement Day is concerned about winning the World Heavyweight Championship from Seth Rollins. Therefore, it could be a perfect opportunity for Balor to chase the title on behalf of the Judgement Day by winning the briefcase.

On the other hand, Matt Riddle has returned to WWE on Raw after WrestleMania 39 and has been the fans favorite. He was pinned by Solo Sikoa on the Backlash, by limiting his hype to the top card. There is also a sideline feud with Gunther, which could make him the #1 contender for Intercontinental Championship.

Finn Balor could secure the win and qualify for the MITB ladder match and there are even high chances for him to grab the MITB contract. Money in the Bank occurring in the United Kingdom could also be a favor for him, as it is the home country of Prince Balor.

Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Becky Lynch vs Sonya Deville

Becky Lynch has been in a rivalry with Trish Stratus for the past few weeks and also lost a match at Night of Champions. The feud never ended and she was inserted into a MITB qualifying match.

On the other hand, Sonya Deville has lost her opportunity to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship with Chelsea Green. This could be a turning point for her career, if she could pin the former champion to qualify for the MITB ladder match.

Although Becky seems to have the upper hand over Sonya Deville, Becky Lynch losing the match by Trish and Zoey’s interference is likely to happen. Which could continue the feud until SummerSlam at Detroit for Trish’s retirement. Becky Lynch could somehow be a part of the MITB live event at UK as Ireland is not only the hometown of Balor and McDonagh but also to the Irish Lass Kicker Becky Lynch.
